Signal methodology

How the sampled assessment works

Signal combines website audit checks, generated buyer questions, sampled provider answers, mention normalisation and deterministic scoring. The output is evidence-led and bounded by what was tested.

Website evidence

We inspect public website clarity, service-location specificity, proof and technical basics.

Sampled questions

Questions are grouped around direct local need, problem need, specialist intent, decision support and trust selection.

Provider samples

Each answer surface can vary. Signal records the sample and shows the tested boundary.

Deterministic score

Scoring uses fixed rules and score bands so the same stored evidence produces the same result.

Sampled, not ranked

Signal is a sampled visibility assessment, not a fixed AI ranking. Each question was tested more than once per surface. Results can vary by question wording, location context, model and time. We show the questions and evidence used so you can see exactly what was tested.

Boundary

This scan reviews the public website and sampled answers. It does not analyse Google Business Profile, review platforms or directory listings; strength or weakness there can affect visibility beyond what this report shows.
